Rehearsals/Policy for the 2011 Holiday Program

To continue our improvement as an orchestra, we are adding some new policies.
Our purpose is to try to improve attendance so it is not necessary to repeat the
same instructions many times and the orchestra members are used to hearing the
piece. This way, when extra players are added, we don’t have people getting lost
because of the new sounds.
Attendance Policy
1. Each person is responsible for signing the attendance sheet at each
rehearsal.
2. If you cannot make a rehearsal, please contact you section head ahead of
time.

Payment policy (for December and next June Concerts)
1. No one will be paid who misses the concert. (Sorry, but the point of the
rehearsals is to perform the concert.)
2. The maximum paid for local musicians is $50.
3. Each rehearsal missed will be $5 off of the $50.
4. Failure to contact your section head will result in $10 off of the $50.
5. A person who misses three or more rehearsals may be replaced at the
conductor’s discretion.

Thursday December 8 Dress Rehearsal at High School 7:00
Friday December 9 Concert at High School, call at 6:00
